Interlude

(This little part was necessary for the next chapter ! this is more of an interlude so you can understand the next part. Enjoy)

Sb ignored Nicki day after day. He was a junior in the high school down the block from where they lived and being a year younger she was starting as a sophomore there. He didn't know she would be going to his school mainly because he's been avoiding her but when he left his 3rd period class he saw a big crowd and decided to walk over. SB wasn't a football player but he was still considered popular. Nobody really knew him like Nicki even if they thought they were really close to him, he knew they didn't know the real him. After Nicki left he vowed to himself he'd never get that close to any one again.
When he reached the crowd he noticed Nicki in the middle of it. He wanted to feel happy that she was fitting in but that wasn't the crowd for her. When people noticed him they greeted him then focused back on Nicki. He gave her the look and she ignored it. SB had been ignoring her for a week now so she gave up. She wanted SB in her life but she would never let any one make her beg for friendship. No matter how hard she wanted to get on her knees and cry for him she didn't. Ever have those friends that you don't like but you have no reason so they're 'friends'? That's how SB felt about this crew. Nicki noticed the look but didn't really care she just continued laughing and talking until the late bell rung. Sb decided to wait for her but she walked right pass him. SB didn't go to any other class he just went home early. By 2 when Nicki got out of school SB was sitting on we steps just like old times. When she got there she once again walked right pass him. She went to straight to her mothers room after dropping her bag in the living room. She dropped on her mothers bed and sighed into one of her pillows. Her mother figured it was just SB problems again so she just looked down at her and waited for her to speak. "Mom he was waiting outside, like when I was little" Nicki took another long sigh. "Onika let him explain" Nicki slowly lifted her body off the bed and walked out while saying "I told you my name is Nicki".
